Teams and Team Sizes

Three Rivers Volleyball Club runs teams in the 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U, and 18U age groups.

12U to 15U: One to two developmental teams at each group, consisting of 10-14 athletes. 

16U to 18U: One competitive team at each age group, consisting of 12 athletes and 2 practice players.

Three Rivers Volleyball Club focuses on developing the complete athlete. Our comprehensive approach ensures that players excel both on and off the court.

Practices

12U and 13U: 2x 2 hours of on court practices per week

14U to 18U: 3x 2 hours of on court practices per week

Physical Training

12U to 14U: Athletes will have access to age appropriate training exercises

U15 to 18U: Athletes will have 2x physical training sessions per week

*Practices and physical training sessions vary week to week depending on gym availability, tournament schedules, and holidays.


Mental Training

All TRVC athletes will have the chance to participate in mental training sessions designed to enhance the psychological side of their game. These sessions help athletes overcome obstacles that may hinder performance, enabling them to reach their full potential in sports, school, and life.

membership and fees

Club volleyball runs from December to May for 14U-18U teams and from December to April for 12U and 13U teams. Our membership fee includes expenses related to preparing for Volleyball Alberta and Volleyball Canada competitions.

12U & 13U - $1000

14U to 16U - $1700

17U & 18U - $1900

*Fees will be finalized upon the release of Volleyball Alberta’s 2025 Competition Regulations & Season Planning documents.

Included In Our Fee:

  • Court rental for practices

  • Equipment and volleyballs

  • Strength training sessions

  • Mental training sessions

  • Gear package

  • Uniforms

  • Volleyball Alberta Premiers & Provincial registrations

  • Volleyball Canada National Championship registration (No 12U & 13U Nationals)

  • Facility, athlete, coach, and directors’ insurance

  • Coaching honorariums

  • Coaching certification courses, education, and training (All of our coaches are NCPP trained or certified in accordance with Volleyball Alberta and Volleyball Canada rules)

  • Coaches travel, accommodations, and meal costs to out-of-town tournaments (Standard rate set by TRVC Board of Directors)

  • Administrative costs (i.e., website upkeep, communication platforms, marketing, bank fees)

Not Included:

  • Extra tournaments outside of Volleyball Alberta & Volleyball Canada tournaments (i.e., USA tournaments)

  • Transportation, accommodations, and meals for out-of-town tournaments

Membership fees are to be paid upon signing of LOI. Athletes will not be able to participate until all membership fees and registration is complete. 

We welcome parents and family members to spectate at tournaments, offering athletes the option to stay or travel with their parents or with teammates under parental supervision to help minimize fees.

Three Rivers Volleyball Club strives to reduce athlete costs by applying for grant funding and receiving generous support from sponsors and donors. Club teams are encouraged to fundraise to help offset their costs.
