Born out of passion for furthering women’s athletics in Wood Buffalo.
Three Rivers Volleyball Club is a registered, nonprofit club dedicated to providing an exceptional club volleyball experience. We strive to foster both athletic skill and personal growth in a supportive and competitive environment.

The longest river in Alberta, stretching 1,538 km. The river basin is home to a variety of wild life, including our mascot, the beaver.

The only west-flowing river connecting Saskatchewan and Alberta, the Clearwater was an important piece of the fur trade. It connects to the Athabasca River at Fort McMurray.

Home to a variety of wildlife and a popular finishing spot, the Hangingstone River flows into the Clearwater River before joining with the Athabasca River.

Kory Cheshire
President & 18U Coach
With over 15 years of volleyball experience, including both Pac—12 Division 1 NCAA for Oregon State University and professionally in Switzerland, Kory Cheshire serves as the founder of TRVC and coach for the U18 team.
Brent Siemens
Coach Educator & 18U Coach
Brent has been playing volleyball for over 8 years. For his tremendous high school volleyball career, Brent was honoured by being inducted into the Abbotsford Sports Hall of Fame in 2010. After a successful club volleyball and college career, Brent has served as assistant coach for both Keyano Men’s and women’s volleyball teams.
Carina van Heerde
After many years on the bleachers as a volleyball mom, Carina joined Three Rivers Volleyball Club Board of Directors to actively take part in the development of young, female athletes. She saw a difference and growth in her own daughter while being coached by Kory, and wishes to see many other young girls thrive under the mentorship of Kory. Carina brings over 25 years of communication and marketing experience to the board and has served on various social profit boards since she made Fort McMurray her home.
