Three Rivers Volleyball Club offers female athletes the opportunity to compete at an elite level over the course of the volleyball season. Athletes complete both physical and mental training to ensure they are performing at their best, both on and off the court.

Founder | 18U Head Coach
Kory Cheshire, head coach for the 18U TRVC Beavers, has over 15 years of playing experience. She knows her way around the club volleyball circuit after a successful club volleyball career which included two Volleyball Alberta Provincial Championships (2012, 2013) and a gold medal at Volleyball Canada Youth Nationals at the 17U top division in 2013, being named a National All-Star. She previously played for Team Alberta in both 2011, being one of two underaged athletes to make the roster, and again in 2012. After a bronze medal at the Best of the West tournament in 2011, Kory would go on to win gold the following year along with being named the Best of the West Most Valuable Player.
Upon finishing her club volleyball career, she was the starting middle blocker and team captain for Oregon State University, a Pac-12 Division I NCAA program, playing for six years, and making two appearances in the NCAA Volleyball Championship including a trip to the Sweet 16. In 2018, she was the recipient of the Oregon State University Scholar-Athlete of the Year award. After graduating in 2020, she moved to Switzerland to play professionally as the starting middle blocker for the LNA Groupe E Val-de-Travers before returning due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kory started coaching during her time at Oregon State University, coaching several Oregon State Volleyball Camps acting as a coach for both young, developmental players and aiding in recruiting efforts on the top courts as well. From 2015-2017 she coached for a local volleyball club, DSK Volleyball, coaching U12 and U14 Girls teams. Kory previously assisted with the Keyano College Women’s Volleyball team and coached 18U Girls for the last two seasons. She is the founder of Three Rivers Volleyball Club and serves as the President on the Board of Directors.

Coach Educator & 14U Green Head CoachBrent Siemens has been playing volleyball for over 8 years. He played an integral role as a member of the Mennonite Educational Institute (MEI) Eagles. During his time at MEI, Brent won three Provincial Championships (2007, 2008, 2009). He was recognized as a Provincial Second-Team All-Star in 2008 and would be named the province’s Most Outstanding Player in 2009. For his tremendous high school volleyball career, Brent was honoured by being inducted into the Abbotsford Sports Hall of Fame in 2010. His club volleyball career was equally impressive. Playing for the Fraser Valley Volleyball Club, coached by former Canadian Men’s National Team Head Coach Ben Josephson, he contributed to three Volleyball BC Provincial Championship teams (16U, 17U and 18U) along with securing top 5 finishes at Volleyball Canada Youth Nationals (15U, 16U, 17U and 18U).
Continuing his volleyball journey, Brent received a scholarship to play at Douglas College in the CCAA Pac-West Conference. While playing for the Royals, he won a Pac-West Provincial Championship in 2011 followed by a silver medal at the CCAA National Championship in the same year. Shortly after, he began his coaching career with the University of Fraser Valley’s Men’s Volleyball team as an Assistant Coach. Brent relocated from Abbotsford, BC to Fort McMurray, AB where he quickly joined the volleyball community. He served as an Assistant Coach for the both the Keyano College Men’s and Women’s Volleyball teams. The past two years he has been the Head Coach for 18U girls club volleyball. Brent serves as the Coach Educator on the TRVC Board of Directors.

16U Head CoachHannah Shelemey is joining TRVC as the 16U head coach. Hannah is an experienced volleyball player having played at one of the highest levels. In high school, she played for Elphinstone Secondary in Gibsons, B.C. She played varsity volleyball from grade 9 to grade 12. In her senior season she rightfully received the Coaches Award. Regarding club volleyball, originally, Hannah played for the Sunshine Coast Volleyball Club before transferring over to British Columbia Olympic (BCO) Volleyball Club in Northern Vancouver for 16U to 18U. In her final season with BCO her team won Tier 2 Provincials. After her high school and club volleyball careers ended respectively, she was offered the opportunity to play at the next level.
For the past several years, Hannah has been playing volleyball at the collegiate level as an outside hitter. She began her post-secondary career at Capilano University in 2018, quickly earning a PacWest bronze medal. During her time at Capilano, she was a CCAA National Scholar (2020) and earned the PacWest Academic Excellence Award (2021). She remained on the Academic Honor Roll for the duration of her career at Capilano. In 2022, she transferred to Fort McMurray’s very own Keyano Huskies where she finished out her career as a key figure in the starting lineup helping the Huskies make two provincial appearances.
Hannah joins TRVC with a wealth of coaching experience. She assistant coached for the Northern Vancouver British Columbia Olympic (BCO) Volleyball Club at both the 14U and 16U levels. In addition, she has led several BCO coaching clinics.

14U Black Head CoachHead coach for the TRVC 14U Black, Mariana (Max) Jorge Cunha, began her club volleyball career playing for the Halton Hurricanes. She would spend the rest of her club career with the Ottawa Mavericks ultimately earning a silver medal in Tier 1 Division 1 provincials in her 18U season.
During her high school years, Max attended the Louis Riel high performance development program, helping her secure a place as a setter for both the 16U Inaugural Team Ontario and eventually McMaster University.
TRVC 13U head coach, began her volleyball career in 14U playing for the Halton Hurricanes, the remainder of her club years were spent playing for the Ottawa Mavericks ultimately earning a silver medal in Tier 1 Division 1 provincials in her 18U season.
She spent her high school years attending the Louis Riel high performance development program which helped to secure her a place playing as a setter for both the 16U inaugural Team Ontario and eventually McMaster University. As part of team Ontario she won a bronze medal at the FPVA USA Volleyball Tournament Florida and also attended the Canada Games selection camp the following year. Playing a total of 3 full seasons for McMaster as a setter and left side she was part of multiple Final Four appearances as well as an OUA silver medalist.
In addition to her starting role in year two and three she was also an assistant coach for two local clubs, Mountain Volleyball Club 14U and Defensa Volleyball 18U. Her coaching experience also extends to her time as a player head coach for three seasons of McMaster Volleyball summer development camps.
Her journey eventually brought her to Fort McMurray in 2022 to play a season with the Keyano Huskies. Leading the team to one of their most wins in a season and a perfect home game record.
